Master Thesis - Automated SmartPhone Tests

Description

Ascom Wireless Solutions develops handsets for both WiFi and DECT. To secure the software quality for the products we have developed a test platform for automated and semi-automated tests. Now we are looking into the next generation of handsets and need to investigate the possibility to build a fully automated test environment for SmartPhones.

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate different methods, hardware and software for an automated test environment including all functionality and the user interface of the product.

Traditionally the maintenance cost for keeping the test system up to date with the latest product functionality is very high. An important aspect of this theses work is to find a cost efficient solution for the test system from early development to maintenance of the product.

The work includes: investigation, system design and proof of concept including software design.

20 weeks for two persons
